What these do, and what they do not

The carrier registration covers collecting waste — including waste somebody else produced — and moving it. The two exemptions cover holding a load securely at our own site before it goes on to a permitted facility.

They do not cover treating, sorting or processing waste, and we do not do any of it. That is why there is no recycling figure on this site: we do not process anything, so we have no rate of our own to quote. Loads go to Beddington Energy Recovery Facility (permit EPR/BV7722ID), which is an energy recovery plant — your waste is burned to generate electricity, which is recovery rather than recycling. Both words mean something specific and we would rather use the right one.

Your waste transfer note

When we complete a collection we issue a waste transfer note in your name, by email and on your account. That is the document that proves your waste left you legally, and it is why a registered carrier costs more than a man with a van. If yours has not arrived, ask and we will send it.

You keep it. If your waste is later found fly-tipped, the note is what shows it left you through a registered carrier — householders and businesses both carry a duty of care for their own waste, and the note is how you discharge it.

Insurance

The business is insured. We are not publishing a cover figure here, because a number on a web page proves nothing on its own — if you need the certificate for your own records, ask and we will send it.

Something here not matching the register, or a document you need for your own compliance file? Tell us and we will sort it.
