1. Who We Are

waste.london is a trading name of Konrad Makuch trading as Alexander Waste Services Ltd, a waste collection business operating across Greater London. Konrad Makuch trading as Alexander Waste Services Ltd is the data controller for the personal information we collect about you.

2. What We Collect

We may collect and process the following data:

• Name, email address, phone number, and postal address
• Booking and payment information
• Communications with our team and WasteBot
• Photos uploaded for waste assessment
• Website usage data via cookies

3. How Our Website Is Measured

When you open a page here, we record which page it was, the time, and — if you start a quote — which steps you reached. Those records are kept under a random reference stored in a cookie in your browser, so we can tell one visit from another. We do not record your IP address, anything about your browser or device, or any code made from them, so nothing in these records identifies you or follows you to another website.

On your first page we also keep the site you came from and any campaign tags in the link — the ones an advert adds — so we know which advert or search brought you here. We keep the page address without anything after the question mark, and where you arrived on one of your own quote links we store the kind of page rather than the link itself. If we happen to be testing two versions of a page, we keep which version you were shown.

Each record also says which door you came in by — the quote form, the photo page, the chat — and, once you ask for a quote, carries a reference to that job, so we can see which steps led to it. The record itself holds none of your details: your name, address and contact details live on the quote you gave them to, and nothing in these measurements repeats them.

We use them to see which parts of our quote process work and which lose people, and to price the service properly. We keep them indefinitely, so we can compare one year with the next. If you have given us your details, you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you using the address below.

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to provide and improve our services, process bookings and payments, communicate with you about your account, and comply with legal obligations.

5. What Our Marketplace Collectors See

Once we have confirmed a price for your job, you can offer it to the independent collectors on our marketplace to bid on, and if we have not heard back from you within a few days we offer it for you. Our terms say exactly when. What a collector sees while bidding is the first part of your postcode, the size of the load, the kind of waste and the access details you gave us. They do not see your name, your address, your phone number, your email address or your photos, and anything you write to them through your quote page has phone numbers and email addresses masked. Your name, address and phone number are shared only with the one collector whose bid you accept, and only once you have accepted it, because they need them to turn up.

You can withdraw your job from the collectors at any time with one click on your quote page or in the email that tells you it has been offered. Withdrawing removes it from their board and they keep nothing.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal requirements. Waste transfer notes are retained for a minimum of 2 years as required by law.

7. Your Rights
